The Carnegie is such a neat little treasure trove of historical wonder with a quaint historical building, with amazing staff who will guide you on a historical adventure through the Brazos Valley archival records and historical books.
It is a beautiful old building and is worth the visit just for that. There is also a lovely doll house that is a replica of a historic house in Calvert. Naturally, there are many old maps, directories, and other historic documents. If you are interested in genealogy research or searching old editions of The Eagle or other newspapers, they even provide access to websites that otherwise require subscriptions for that kind of research.
Ms. Ann was so helpful and nice assisting me with finding records from 20 yeas ago in the Bryan Eagle Newspaper. The staff here very special people to do the duty of helping others learn about the history of Bryan Collegestation. To go on even further l work 5 days a week and there was no way I could make it in to the Center during the business hours. The woman assisting me took it upon herself to look up the Information for me after all said. Thank you so much Ms. Ann again ! My father and I are so thankfull and the information you tracked down for us is going to help more then you could ever guess or figure. GOD BLESS !!! 🙂👍🙏🙂
Great piece of history, but run by really cagey people.
Great research library in the heart of old downtown with lots of historic information and very helpful staff!
A wonderful genealogy center that also has Bryan town history. The librarians are very kind and helpful.
Excellent research facility. It is always good to see a hundred year old building preserved and put to good use. Friendly and helpful staff.
Extremely helpful staff that help me with all of my questions. Whenever I have more land questions, I will definitely be coming back for their expertise.
Great place for research and training classes. Friendly staff can help you navigate the library. They have a new Digi Lab you need the class and appointment. Wonderful experience.
Great place for genealogy research, plus they have some interesting displays.

Places like this are more than coordinates. They are where ideas become decisions, where communities keep memory, and where the words in a textbook become a room you can stand inside.
