Constitution AI Companion ("the App") is developed and operated by Constitution AI ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.
When you use the App, an anonymous account is created via Supabase Auth. We do not collect your name, email address, or other personally identifiable information unless you voluntarily provide it.
If you enable analytics in Settings, we collect anonymous usage data such as which features you use and reading progress. This data cannot be linked to your identity.
When you use AI features (Ask AI, Quiz, Debate), your questions are sent to third-party AI providers (OpenRouter) for processing. We store conversation history in your account to enable follow-up questions. We do not use your conversations to train AI models.
If you subscribe to Premium, payment processing is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We receive confirmation of your subscription status from RevenueCat but never see your payment details.
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:
Your data is stored securely in Supabase (PostgreSQL) with row-level security policies. Local data is stored on-device using encrypted storage. All network communication uses HTTPS/TLS encryption.
Your data is retained as long as your account exists. You can delete your account and all associated data by contacting us. Anonymous usage analytics are retained in aggregate form only.
The App is educational in nature and suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The App's content is limited to U.S. constitutional education.
