Love the quality of the furniture and the book collections. Go there to study the history of the local cities and genealogy.

Haven’t been in decades. Has a fresh-ish paint job, same limited parking, and what passes for “librarians” (at least on this day) was hit & miss. The first one was helpful, showing me where the books were I was searching for. However it should be noted, she originally was going into her (obviously not only rehearsed but seemingly compulsory) spiel on the history of the building. The second, was absorbed in her note taking (assuming that’s what it was), and seemed perturbed by my twice asking for assistance. As if it’s not her job and I was disturbing her task at hand. 75% completed what I needed to get done, and left.

In a November, 2023, visit on a Tuesday, the library was sparsely used and the staff at the genealogical section could not have been nicer. They immediately found the book I needed and helped me with their high-quality scanning equipment to digitize and save the pages I needed...at no charge! The whole process took 20 minutes and I was only sorry that there wasn't more needed at the Tyrrell Historical Library. Thank you to the staff!
