The Looscan Neighborhood Library is a welcoming and quiet environment, ideal for reading and studying. Visitors praise its helpful staff, who provide excellent customer service, such as checking book availability and reserving them for pickup. The library features a cozy, modern interior with a well-organized book collection, including a dedicated children’s section with engaging decor like trees and squirrels, and a Spanish book area for language learners. Its reading room is noted for ample natural light and comfortable seating, with access to current magazines like Bon Appétit. The library also offers free Wi-Fi, computer access, online databases, and a meeting room, making it a valuable community resource. Convenient parking and a clean facility add to its appeal.

I love this library and the people were are so friendly when it comes to helping me locate a book or when I have questions. I also love how I can "check out" seeds for my garden. It can be a little noisy when the children and parents are around, but it is not that bad compared to the other libraries.

Great library!! Fot babies and toddlers, there are often activities during the week. Good place to spend 1 or 2 hours with the Littles.

Looscan has been a great neighborhood library for a long time. During the major hurricanes that hit Houston and knocked out power for weeks way back when Looscan Library opened up and provided much valued internet service and cool AC for sweltering, disconnected residents. They also have tax papers that can be picked up to file taxes, and the staff has proven very helpful, courteous, and knowledgeable. Plus the facilities to read and relax are very good. So I hope Looscan and its friendly, knowledgeable staff can stay open for a long time to come!
