It was very convenient for me to use while I was in michigan. I love to see the original section of the building. Never got upstairs I'll do that on my next trip. The staff was willing to help with whatever I needed.
The very, very best library around! We go out of our way to come here and we come here often. The offerings, events, the amazing staff, the cozy environment -- all top notch. I can honestly say I LOVE this library!
Favorite place to take my two year old for toddler time on Tuesdays. They love the play area here as well. There are usually a lot of kids who attend both so it’s nice to get them that social interaction.
This library has great media center materials available. DVD's Blu-Rays and more. Friendly staff. The Kid's area has Duplo blocks and wooden trains for littles to build and create with. The front desk even has a daily scavenger hunt for small children - and the child even receives a cute prize at the end! Five stars for ANYONE with elementary-school age children!
Took both of my daughters here with.my grandmother Frieda Franklin for a puppet show, great fun even if they were young. First grade and nursery school.
I love it there! Everyone is so friendly and helpful.
Walking into this library feels like stepping into a piece of history. Housed inside a beautiful historic mansion across from the riverwalk, the building itself is worth visiting, with its old architecture, warm atmosphere, and unique character that makes it feel very different from a modern library. The library is very organized, peaceful, and welcoming. I especially enjoyed the puzzle area, and the different rooms throughout the library have so many interesting features and details to explore. There is also a programming room and community spaces that make the library feel active and useful for all ages. One of the most interesting things is that you can actually book a historic tour of the mansion once a month through their website, which makes the visit even more special. If you enjoy historic places, reading, relaxing by the riverwalk, or discovering hidden gems, this library is definitely worth stopping by.
Nice remodeled library with lots of things to get and things to do with little kids. Plus different events each month. Very helpful employees who help with what you need to do.
Great library have books, dvds, activities bags all to rent. Computers to use amd very friendly staff, activities for kids to do from painting to coloring.
They just did a new renovation. We first visited it in the winter during renovations but recent visits after renovations were great. I look forward to enjoy this learning space. Our daughter loves it too

Places like this are more than coordinates. They are where ideas become decisions, where communities keep memory, and where the words in a textbook become a room you can stand inside.
